Dr Aarohee Desai-Gupta is the Clinical Director of Atrom Mindcare. She is a practising Consultant Psychiatrist in London, United Kingdom and a Member of the Clinical Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (CTMS) Society, USA.

ABOUT Dr Aarohee Desai-Gupta

She has more than 11 years of experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in a range of Adult Psychiatric services both in the NHS and Private Sectors. She was an Associate Medical Director (Interim) for 2 years (2017-2018 & 2019-2020) in Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge localities within NELFT NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK. She has practicing privileges and admitting rights at Priory Hospital in North London, where she currently practices. She provides treatment for Adults with a range of complex, enduring mental health problems including Treatment-Resistant Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, other Anxiety Spectrum and Mood Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Personality Disorders, and Psychotic Illnesses. She also works with the General Medical Council (GMC) as a Health Examiner and Medical Supervisor, where she conducts Psychiatric assessments for Doctors with difficulty with mental health problems, providing her opinion on their fitness to practice and supporting them back into work when appropriate. She is an experienced and award-winning trainer in Psychiatry and continues to teach Medical Students from the University College London (UCL) course, at the Priory Hospital in North London.

 

Dr Desai-Gupta obtained her MBBS qualification from India in 2003 and obtained her CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in General Adult Psychiatry in the United Kingdom. She has been on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register in Adult Psychiatry since 2012. She holds a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Psychiatry from the University of Manchester. She is an Approved Clinician (AC) under the Mental Health Act, of England, (1983). She is trained to supervise and deliver TMS treatment, in which she has developed a special interest due to the promise it holds in successfully treating a range of mental health problems with minimal side-effects.
