Dr Karen Stanley

Dr Karen Stanley studied Medicine at the University of Sheffield and graduated in 2009 after which she dedicated her career to Psychiatry. 

 

Dr Stanley holds  MRCPsych qualification as well as an MSc in Psychiatric Research. Since 2021, Dr Stanley has been on the GMC’s Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry, Substance Misuse Psychiatry, and Old Age Psychiatry, and she has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in a variety of settings including in the NHS and private sectors, and also for the Ministry of Defence. 

 

As well as working as a Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Stanley is also a trained Forensic Medical Examiner and has worked with the police in a variety of custodial settings. 

 

Dr Stanley is an Approved Clinician under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983.
