Dr Joseph Nnaemeka Ibe
Consultant Psychiatrist MBBS, BSc (Hons), MRCPsych
Dr Joseph Ibe is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who completed his medical degree at Queen Mary and Westfield College, St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He later gained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and has extensive specialist training across a broad range of psychiatric services.

Dr Ibe has trained and worked in some of the most renowned mental health institutions in the UK, including SLAM, Oxleas and CNWL, gaining significant clinical expertise across General Adult Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Rehabilitation Psychiatry, Community services, and Early Intervention in Psychosis. In addition to Atrom Mindcare, he also works as a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist within a Community Mental Health Team in West Sussex. There he is providing expert assessment and treatment for adults with severe enduring mental illness as well as delivering specialist ADHD assessment and management.

He has a strong clinical interest and growing specialist experience in Adult ADHD and Autism, having undertaken special interest training at the Maudsley National Autism and ADHD Service for Adults. His work includes leading comprehensive diagnostic assessments, medication management, multidisciplinary collaboration, and education for patients and families.

Dr Ibe has practiced across a wide range of mental health settings including acute inpatient care, community teams, forensic units, crisis services, rehabilitation services and early intervention teams, treating the full spectrum of mental health conditions in adults of working age. This includes ADHD, Autism Spectrum Conditions, Bipolar Disorder, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Psychosis and Schizophrenia, and Personality Disorders.

Dr Ibe takes a compassionate and patient-centred approach, tailoring care plans holistically to improve quality of life and long-term wellbeing. His breadth of experience across NHS services enables him to combine clinical expertise with collaborative and respectful therapeutic practice.
