Dr Maria Diaz, MBBS, LMS, is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of clinical practice across NHS and private settings, with experience across a wide range of psychiatric sub-specialties, including General Adult Psychiatry, Crisis Teams, Early Intervention in Psychosis, Rehabilitation and Recovery, Community Psychiatry, Old Age Psychiatry, Learning Disability, and Forensic Psychiatry.

She studied Medicine and Surgery at the University of Salamanca, Spain, and completed her psychiatry specialty training on the Oxford rotation in the UK. She holds full GMC registration.

She has completed advanced training and certification in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of ADHD, providing comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based management plans. Dr Diaz combines clinical precision with a compassionate, person-centred approach to tailor care to each patient’s needs.

She supervises and trains medical students from the University of Southampton and supports multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, she conducts assessments in both languages and is also proficient in French, Portuguese, and Italian.
