Which ICBs can refer to Atrom Mindcare

Right to Choose is an England-wide right, but each Integrated Care Board ('ICB') commissions its pathways a little differently - and since April 2026 a few have placed restrictions of their own which means availability can vary depending on where you live. The table shows how long your local Integrated Care Board is currently taking before it will refer to us. Once your referral reaches us there is no wait for assessment.

Can my GP refer me to Atrom Mindcare?

Find your ICB - it is the one covering your GP practice, not necessarily where you live. Some areas are 'Open' and referring patients to us, some have reached their financial caps and are marked as 'Closed', and some have certain restrictions in place - such as waiting lists. We aim to update this list monthly but commissioning changes at short notice. We re-check your area before booking - nothing rests on this list alone.

Check your ICB above
It is the board covering your GP practice. If you are unsure, tell us the practice name and we will look it up

We will send you a referral letter to hand over, so nothing rests on you explaining the rules.

Ask your GP to refer you to Atrom Mindcare

We take it from there
Once your GP has sent us your referral, we contact you to arrange an assessment - in Epping, or online.

Commissioning arrangements change, and an ICB can alter its pathway at short notice. We review this page monthly and confirm your eligibility again before booking, so nothing rests on the table alone.

NOT IN ENGLAND?
Right to Choose applies in England only. We see people in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland privately or through insurance.

Children's pathways are commissioned separately and we are only commissioned for Adult services at the moment.

ALREADY ON A WAITING LIST?You can still choose a different provider before your first appointment. Being on a local list does not prevent a referral to us.
