Shingiarai Chawarika
Registered Mental Health Nurse
Shingirai Chawarika is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and neurodevelopmental assessor with extensive experience across mental health, autism, ADHD, risk assessment, safeguarding, and multidisciplinary care planning. He is ADOS-2 trained across Modules 1–4 and has experience completing autism assessments for children, young people, and adults within structured neurodevelopmental pathways.
His assessment work includes ADOS-2 administration, clinical observation, developmental history review, DSM-5 mapping, diagnostic formulation, report contribution, and participation in multidisciplinary team discussions.
Shingirai’s wider clinical background has provided him with a strong understanding of complex presentations, including anxiety, emotional dysregulation, trauma, ADHD-related difficulties, safeguarding concerns, and co-occurring mental health needs.
He brings a calm, person-centred, evidence-based approach to assessments, with a focus on understanding the individual’s lived experience, identifying functional impact across settings, and producing clear, clinically robust conclusions that support families, referrers, schools, and wider professionals.
